I've never seen this before
Went to fill up my 156 yesterday. When I drove into the petrol station everything was fine. No problems, no errors etc. When I was finished filling up I tried to start the car. All that happened was the lights came up on the dash but very faintly. The info centre told me "ABS Failure, VDC Failure, EDB Failure, go to delaer. Do not start the engine, proceed to dealer".
I pushed the car to the side of the station and managed to get a battery company to come out and replace the battery. After new battery, no more problems. What gets me is that up till then there was absolutely no warnings, no bad starting in ther morning, nothing. The battery just completely died.
I did check the obvious like loose terminals etc but nothing.
