I just did mine a few days ago easiest job I have done on a car.
disconnect the hosing into the throttle housing.
Look directly below that beneath a few wires, Might have to take a bracket of which holds two connectors (colour coded don't have to remember them lol) unplug them and then remove the bracket, just 2/3 bolts.
Remove the clip of the hose, pull off the hose from stat and pull up trying to minimise the release of coolant.
Remove stat 3 bolts, scrape the old gasket off (dont get any of the crap into the exposed hole if you can help it) and clean up the face as best you can.
Clean up the old bolts.
New Gasket, replace New stat, replace hose to stat with jubilee clip, top up coolant, (check for leaks), replace the elecy bracket and plug the two connectors back in(colour coded), and replace induction hoses, start engine have a good look around no leaks, let it warm up, chck for leaks, drive it let it cool check level top up as necessary
