156 JTD clutch woes...
Driving into work this morning in this miserable weather, and was sitting in a queue on the motorway. Took the car out of gear, handbrake on... when I went to engage gear again, the pedal (normally quite heavy) was as light as it gets. The car went into gear okay, but the clutch was slipping like mad for the rest of the journey (normally it slips a tiny bit if you really floor it - typical of a remapped JTD).
Due to the rain I didn't get to look at anything when I got to work, but as I don't understand the workings of the 156 clutch, maybe someone can throw any light on what has happened. I'm thinking clutch slave cylinder has gone belly up - does this sound plausible? Does anyone think it's anything more sinister?
Thanks in advance.
