Rear side light
My 147 seems to have developed another annoying electrical fault. A few weeks back the drivers side brake/side light bulb needed replacing, i finally got around to doing this yesterday but noticed another problem.
On Saturday, whilst sitting in a que of traffic, i had a Freelander sitting behind me, unfortunately his foot slipped off his clutch and he was sitting in gear, so i felt a slight shunt from behind. Needless to say i pulled over and had a good look, all seemed to be ok, bumper hadnt moved, and nothing appeared to be broken so i carried onto my destination then later that day drove the 110 miles home. Once home a warning appeared informing me of a rear sidelight failure, i got out and had a look, and the sidelight was on even though the ignition was completely turned off. I then swapped the bulbs and the problem is still there, the sidelight is permanently on, what could be causing this? An electrical fault or a result of the slight shunt?
