Airbag warning light
dashboard death rattle
cambelt etc. change every 5 minutes
Eating a litre of oil every month
Lambda sensor on drugs
homicidal bonnet catch
MAF is an issue equally on all engines,
Airbag warning light can be avoided if you remove the battery leads before unplugging any of the sensors, and cable-tie the loom up to stop it pulling.
Variators don't last for ever, and the JTS is one of those cars with a variator like the Twin Spark.
Don't know what you mean by the dashboard death rattle
Cambelt change interval on the JTS is the same as the TS - Every 3 years or 36K which ever comes first.
Oil consumption varies, JTS engines aren't known for massive consumption though.
Not sure about lambda sensors, I've never heard anything to suggest they are more of an issue on Alfas than any other car.
You need to make sure the bonnet catch is working by cleaning and greasing both catches. Also, drop it from a height rather than by pushing it closed.
