Re: 2000 156 2.5v6 problems
thanks guys, yesterday i cleaned the throttle plate and did the reset thing and now she's fine, idling at 800 and doesn't cut out anymore.
i think my biggest problem was my battery, i tested it yesterday and it only had 8v. fitted a new one and all is fine now.
next week she is going in for the front suspension to be fixed. don't know what prices are in the uk but here in sa parts are expensive for this car and the best qoute i got for the suspension was R3800.00 which is alot just for the lower control arms.
Luckily i found a spare shop in johannesburg and got both for R850. So a mechanic friend of mine will fit it for me next week and give her a service.
but now i'm sitting with the radio code problem...alfa wants to charge me R350 for the code. really do not want to change the unit as i've kept everything on the car original alfa and i think an aftermarket unit is going to spoil the centre console.
