So my exhaust is on now, and it is quite loud, it sounds awesome at tickover, quite at a 70mph cruise, and real meaty on full throttle.
It has lost some of the restrained and dignified note that says Alfa though, its a lot more in your face.
The tail pipe I chose is nice and does suit the car, its not too chavvy looking IMHO, and the quality and fit are spot on, the brackets line up bang on and the one on the back box is very adjustable, so I got the tailpipe nicely centred.
Now to the interesting bit, I was hoping to see more bhp from this mod, what I seem to have got, is a much wider spread of power, that starts closer to 3k now, where it used to kick at 4k before...
So I only drop one gear, if at all to overtake, it has a lot more grunt lower down and 6th gear is a lot more use, even on these twisty Welsh back roads.......I don't need to push the throttle down as much as before, in fact the slightest pressure gets you upto speed no toruble at all.
I tried my usual 1/2 mile sprint the other day, and had to abort as cars were coming the other way, and if one pulls out to overtake
But the car was much more inclined to wheelspin, and showed promise of a higher terminal speed.
So my final impression, in terms of looks, quality, fit and perfrormance, well worth the money.
The sound, well its a bit like having HP sauce on a fine rare steak
