same age,same price,different mileage.

hi everyone, still looking to buy a 147 ts 01-03, my question is? can a 120k mileage car that has fsh and loads of cash spend on it , well over 2k ( but no major jobs eg no engine or gearbox rebuild) still be a good car, when you can find the 30k-40k car that has fsh but maybe not be loved as much as a alfa fan would. eg they dont know alot about owning one and dont keep an eye on things to stop failures coming along later on when they maybe sell on. and there is only a few 100 quid different in price between the two. i think i like the 2.0 better, but would buy both, cheers.

Difficult question.. If it was 90K and loads spent vs 30K and just one service a year and nowt else then I'd go for the 90K.. But 120k is a lot of miles, that is the 2.0 is it not?

Re: same age,same price,different mileage.

if the low miler didnt know about topping up the oil stay well away! they wouldn't know about cambelt etc.
and one way of looking at it, the 120k might have had all the problem areas fixed recently... shocks/wishbones/cambelt/pump/stat/stuff...

hopefully other high milers can comment on their current costs.
