ATP Wishbones etc
Looking for advice please.
18 months and 15k miles ago and after a lot of research on here I fitted upper and lower suspension arms and drop links bought as a set from eBay for £128.
There was no problem in fitting these parts despite dire warnings on here of missalignments and stripped threads etc.
They have however now failed or at least the upper arms definitely have, from the creaking and groaning noises when negotiating speed bumps.
It is perhaps possible that failure has been accelerated by all the driving through flooded roads recently.
I have no intention of spending circa £400 for genuine AR or £300 for TRW parts on a car which is over 8 years old, and which I understand from the many threads on this subject are just as prone to failure as the "cheapo" ones.
When fitting the replacements I will ensure as advised on here that plenty of silicone based grease is applied to the rubber which didn't happen last time and I would hope that the new parts will last at least two years/20k miles.
So my query is, does anyone have experience of ATP arms which are avilable on eBay at £79 a set of upper and lower arms plus £10 for drop limks. Does anyone know if they are likely to be better or worse than the un-named, presumably ex China parts, I purchased last year please?
One rather worrying point is that I cannot trace suspension arms for Alfas on the ATP website.
