I just finished a trip north, 1.5 hours each way. The car ran fine, around 90c in traffic and about 80-85 on the motorways. As I got back I noticed the temp get over 95 which it never does normally. I opened the bonnet to check that the 2 fans were on, they were'nt. I put the air con on, and they burst into action, going on for about 10 seconds then off, then back on, then off.
Could this be a simple fix? I had a quick look in the fuse box, to be honest I don't know much about fuses though, can i just pull it straght out? If feels quite solidly inserted. Also, there are fuses for FAN0, FAN1, and FAN2. Does each radiator fan have a seperate curcuit?
btw, I have a new radiator, thermostat, cooling pipes, and water pump. so im guessing its something electrical, wiring etc
One thing of interest is that the bonnet was 'ajar' on the way back. I didnt notice it for quite a while. I'm not sure if it would make a difference to cooling, I thought i'd mention it nonetheless.
