Home & really pleased
Ned & his chaps do everything they can to ensure the customer is 100% happy - and then some.
What they have now is great (2 ramps, 2 technicians) but if they continue to develop the servicing side of their business even further (some new additional ramps are in the offing, as is a new technician & a room dedicated to engine builds), we will have ourselves another absolutely excellent independent to rely on
I'd even go so far as to call it showcase
In addition to the diff, went for the performance friction pads that Trailbreaker reported on and some racing fluid. Also had a 24k service done there (not planned but Northants Alfa, who were doing a freebie care of AROC South Mids for me) are moving premises to Wellingborough and the service was due so Ned agreed to do it at VERY
There were a couple of issue regarding an existing gearbox oil leak (sorted), a loose exhaust / heat shield mount (welded by Ned himself) and a rather squashy middle pedal (re-bled but what a swine of a job to do).
Didn't really experience the diff doing its' stuff on the way home as dry roads. Need some rain to really appreciate it
Took it easy on the brakes too
They squeal a fair bit but hopefully this will ease. I guess they'll get better too once they wear in.
Even got new number plates (OK, a bit of free advertising for Auto Lusso but they do have snazzy Alfa badges on) and a new AO sticker.
On the subject of Northants Alfa, fair do's to Mark Desborough, he's allowed us to bank the free service 'till next time around
Can't say fairer than that.
So what a long & expensive day but even at this early stage I think it's money well spent
