Dealer informs me that it will squeeze through 6'6 garage and easily through a 7' and above. Still like you say it is the car doors which I will have trouble with.
My house is an annoying new build where the garage door is 7' but the internal width of the garage is only 8 feet odd.
Having lived in the US for a while at least I know they can design garages for cars and not just for storing odds and ends.
Guess it will have to stay on the drive and tease the neighbours :-)
No need to leave slave 1 outside.
I have an 8ft wide garage, GT fits fine.
Getting out requires a special move that will take several scary learning attempts to master but is no problem.
I tend to wind drivers window down before driving in, then you have extra space where the window used to be for special belly dancing meets ninja manoeuvre that is required. Just hold lock button down to auto-close the windows once your out. Same for getting in, hold down unlock to roll down both windows and provide easy access.
Its a bit scary first few goes (more so for me as it requires aiming for the gas pipe suppliying the boiler
) but once you get your eye in its easy, you may need to mark wall with tape to show where wing mirror should stop depending on how long your garage is, I have small bench and toolbox on rollers in end of mine, leaving 6" in front of GT and 3" behind.
Only clipped passenger mirror once in 3 years... but I was ill that day and not on form
