Re: My Next Car - Alfa 156 2.4l JTD - What should I be looking for?
Had my 140BHP 2.4 for 18 months
Started at 66K and now 92K
New cambelt - £400 inc service, split aircon hose - £150 inc regas, clutch pedal spring - cost is block of wood under clutch pedal or £500, new thermostat - £167, clunking from driveshaft - what ever it was has nearly given up complaining and I rarely hear it - never affected driveability.
Still love the look of the car and regularly get 45MPG at legal motorway speeds.
Need to get front suspension replaced as weight of diesel has worn it out (and probably a few bushes need doing).
