upper suspension arm

Car passed its MOT last week but had an advisory that there was play in the nearside front upper suspension arm bushes.....question is can i replace the bushes or do i replace the arm?

Also if i replace the arm i think it would be best to do the other side at the same time yeah?

Re: upper suspension arm

Should always do both as the other is probably on its way out.

Wouldn't bother with uprated bushes up front unless you are track racing. I've also heard that uprated bushes tend to stress out other no uprated suspension components cos of the lack og "give" and it also gives a harsher ride.

Re: upper suspension arm

you can buy just the bushes, but I think you will find there is a ball joint attatched to the arm, which will probably be worn, so best to do the whole lot.

Re: upper suspension arm

Just change whole arm it's easy peasy, and as mentioned the ball joint wears anyhow.
