Total loss of power

hi there

first post on here, but have found an answer to a problem with my 156on here hoping I might be in luck second time around too.

been having a few intermitent problems with opening remote central locking with key over last few days. had similar problem before and it turned out to be a new battery fix, but that was only changed a few months ago.

anyway... managed to get car started, but then about 10mins later driving down the road the car died... total loss of power. could it just be a coincidence with the key and be battery again? could it be more serious? any ideas gratefully received! thanks

Re: Total loss of power

No connection. Central locking does just that...the immobiliser is not affected by this operation.

If the car cut out, was it whilst driving or at idle? If it was at idle - did it restart after about 15-20 minutes? If so, probably the crank sensor. If not - don't know - need more information....
