New to the forum out of desperation!!
We decided to take the plunge with an Alfa last June as I had owned an Alfasud and 33 Veloce and absolutely loved the cars.
Since June 07 have had a cambelt fail and last week I broke down yet again.
The garage who completed the original repair have taken the car in but unfortunately told us the new breakdown is not related to our repair we had done in November.
This time the engine needs replacing. Camshaft fault we are told that has caused so much damage to a cylinder that the engine can not be repaired. The car is a 2003 156 2L estate JTS.
Can anyone offer any suggestions:What can cause an engine camshaft to fail and is there any possibility that the fault is related to our orignal repair.
The car had done about 65K.
