Re: 147 Selespeed Up Paddle Failure
Im going to follow this up, as a second fault as developed which didn't make itself aparent at first.
After a reasonable journey so the car is nice and warm the car fails to engage second perhaps 1 in 4 changes up the box. Always seconds it going down from third.
I haven't see anyone with this exact problem on the forums yet, but wonder if the 2nd and 4th problems are connected (it also fails to select 4th every time up the box, which I thought was probably swarf). Pulling away, in first, city or manual and 2nd is attemped, if the revs are high enough it goes to third if not it goes to N and leaves me looking silly...
Fluid level is sound, haven't metered the battery but I don't think its registering any faults, but its hard to tell as the selespeed error is already on from the paddles....
Obviously with a car I got less than a week ago I'm slightly concerned, but it came with a warranty and its going back later in the week to hopefully be sorted so i'm not too worried.
Anyway, wouldn't a fault like this count as being not fit for purpose and covered by my statetory rights, regardless of any warranty?
