Re: 156 anti roll link???

They are not difficult to fit, if you ask me. I've seen how the job goes while my Alfa mechanic did it.

Re: 156 anti roll link???

Not at all mate most problem youll run into is the allen key that fits inside the thread somtimes there corroded.

you have to use a allen key and a 13mm spanner you use the allen key to stop the thread turning if its corroded use mogrips to grip the thread then you will need a balljoint splitter.

Job is easy ive done many of them.

Re: 156 anti roll link???

Its an easy job but can be very time consuming if the ball joints are rusty - I have done them a lot recently

I'd jack up one side of the car and remove both nuts. With only one side jacked up there will be some force on the balljoint thread where it passes through the roll bar and this might give you a better chance to undo the nuts without having to cut them off once the allen key rounds off.

Dont try to remove the drop link completely but leave it in place, then do the same thing to the other side. Once both have been undone then you need to have the car level to remove them.

Also be very careful when you buy the replacements - I'd buy genuine drop links as some the non OEM ones are about 5mm wider balljoint which can then knock against the suspension.
