The Selespeed warning light is on because it didn't shutdown properly and may not point to a Selespeed issue.
If you can get Neutral and the engine is turning over, that also points to it not being a Selespeed issue.
If you have a test meter, check th resistance of the TDC Sensor at the brown connector clipped to the inlet manifold.
It should be around 800ohms, when they get to/above 1k ohm the engine will not run or start.
Also make sure you actually have petrol in the tank and that the fuel trip under the passenger seat hasn't tripped. (press the button to reset)
