You know its strange, as I heard jacking up the car from the front with the hand break on can put unusually strong twisting forces on the whole back end, and in some cases twist something? Not sure what it was as a drifted off - this was from a Volkswagen geek, but anyone else heard of that?
The important this is to use the jack points just inside the skirts behind the front wheels where the metal edge has some notches and ridges taken out. If your going really high, it'd probably be wise to do either side with the stands in stages. And use chocks for the rear wheels too.
