Thermostat change on 2.4JTD, DIY job?!

I'll get a new thermostat which appears to be about £60 or so(not sure where though shop4parts?!). Is there a how2 guide or anything for replacing the thermostat? Also, is there anything else worth changing at the same time as the thermostat, temp sender sensor or anything(where's the best place to get that from also?!).

Many thanks in advance.

check at your local motorfactor, it'll be cheaper than shop4parts. i would ask for a QH branded thermostat.

its a DIY job, if you have any doubts get a copy of the AR manual on ebay.

the coolant temp sensor should last forever so dont change it unless it needs changing.

Re: Thermostat change on 2.4JTD, DIY job?!

Ihave just done this and its not the easiest as you need to take the EGR OFF THE BACK TO GET AT THE BRACKET BOLTS FOR THE EGR assembly below the thermostat, it also has a bracket latched on to the thermostat stud, so you will have to slacken the clamps either end of the cyl under the thermostat that join up to the ribbed pipes and then you can swivel the cyl off the stud to enable you to extract the thermostat.
As I say its fiddly so expect to be a while at it!!!!!
