156 - 5th Gear Rattle
I recently had the engine swapped on my 156 after it threw a conn rod, and 500 miles later it started making a nasty grinding sound as I slide the gear lever into/out of 5th, and it's rattling while it's in 5th.
A mate's had a look at it, and it turns out the plate next to the gearbox that moves with the gear selector is bashing into the bottom of what is probably a fuel pipe when the gear lever is pushed over to the right (hope this makes sense!).
Just wondering how this has happened - is this plate always pretty close to the pipes in a 156, or have they messed up putting the engine back in some way?
