Re: airbag problem

I just got airbag warning yesterday after put the CD case pack under the car seat.

I thought the GTA can self reset the light if the connection is good. Now every time I turn the key with before start the engine, the airbag light goes off then it comes back on after 2 sec.

Re: airbag problem

It's more than likely a loose connection, under the driver's seat. seems to be very common. Should be able to be fixed for the price of a cable tie.

Re: airbag problem

^^^ agreed, certainly for Abyss.

however, another cause is if an airbag is disconnected during maintenance/work on the car (eg: removal of seat or steering wheel) without disconnecting the battery long enough for the ECU/system to power down completely.

and of course, there could actually be a fault!

not knowing the history of the car or if any such work was performed, we can't say for sure obviously.
