Parking Senosrs

Second hand GT JTD arrived today. Great but wouldn't be Alfa without a problem!

Parking sensors work as in beeps get faster and faster only problem is (inlike other posts which say they move to the constant tone too far from the wall) these only make a constant tone after you have touched the garage door! Rather defeats the purpose!

Any ideas on how to adjust. The rear of the car isn't dirty so it's not that

Crazed Re: Parking Senosrs

We've had issue with ours too.

One tried to make a break for freedom (fixed by me using Araldite) and I once reversed into a wooden post(no damage though)

They seem (all sensors) to be affected by temperature (cold)

That's the trouble with over reliance on modern technology

Re: Parking Senosrs

The DIY box, (four sensors) has a trimpot, I think it is, for infrequent sensitivity adjustment, or maybe that's ignorant balderdash on my part, electronic experts, please? Any way, the DIY thingie, works spot on, even the wife can manage to stop with the continuous tone warning,at about 30-0 cms from impact?:

Re: Parking Senosrs

I'm wondering if that means there is somewhere in the boot that I can adjust them? Nothing in the handbook.

I did have sensors on a BMW and a SEAT and they worked 100% of the time so hopefully I can get these to work especially as the rear view is not the best (the price you pay for the looks!)
