No power @ low rpm's

Hello again! I have written about this problem a few months ago and haven't solved it so I have been driving this few months and found detailed info about the problem. I have an LPG conversion but all this happens on petrol too.

When trying to accelerate sometimes it goes OK from 1000 rpm to 2000ish and then I fell it stops accelerating and then it accelerates fine above maybe 3000 rpm. Sometimes the "stop" happens at 1500 rpm, 3500 rpm...it is never at the same rpm's. Sometimes it accelerates fine all to 7000 rpm. Also when I decelerate when in gear, it comes to about 1500 rpm and that is when the car starts to misbehave, it shakes, like a misfire but constantly, I have to press the clutch and let it go in neutral. Pressing the gas pedal when driving in gear at maybe 1800 rpm (2nd, 3rd) there is a deep sound from the air filter, it sounds like to much air. Adding to all this is uneven idle, sometimes it goes up and then a few times after settling, but all the time it has a rough idle.

Tried a second hand MAF, no use. Any ideas would be helpful! :D

Assuming you have ruled out any split hoses, have you tried disconnecting the MAF electrical connection and running without it ? If it runs better, the MAF is probably the culprit - a S/H replacement is not necessarily better than the original......
