Hi all, after having a clutch pin go on my GT I got a replacement and set about resetting the cruise control. Was fiddly and somehow when I twisted it the platic broke so now searching for a replacment. I've found two on fleabay. One by Standard Motor Parts and one by Intermotor. Both appear identical however one is a tenner and one is 20.

Any thoughts on possible differences on what seems a simple switch? They both look identical to me (see links). Couple threads I've found say Intermotor are crap so maybe SMP is higher quality? Also don't seem to be able to find the actual OEM part though to be fair have not contacted a stealer yet.

Subsequent to my needing a new switch for cruise control a thought occurred to me concerning my other thread RE: Rear defrost not working. There is a set of wires that comes down above the pedals and threads at present on mine to the right of the switch and then goes up towards where heating switches are. I wonder if these have been disturbed in such a way as to cause my defrost issue. Anyone confirm how these wires should through through that area so as not to be disturbed by clutch actuation?
