Buying a GT - Proxi Alignment

Hi, I'm looking to buy an Alfa GT.
Inspected it today and noticed the odometer was flashing and the owner has no idea how many KMs the car actually has.
I have a windows tablet, an ELM 327 "designed for italian vehicles" adapter and Multiecuscan 2.8 that I use for my 159 JTS.

I plugged it in and was able to find how many KMs the engine ECU has recorded but can't get multiecuscan connected to the instrument panel to investigate. There's an option to connect to 'instrument panel' but it wont allow me to make a connection. I have other adapters on hand that can be used but not sure if this will help.

Tried running a Proxi Alignment, it was all successful except it came back unsuccessful for the 'dash'.
Instrument panel seems to work just has the wrong odo reading, everything else is stock (i'm assuming).

Any tips on how to solve this? If I understand correctly you can use Multiecuscan to write to the odo but can't get it to connect to the instrument panel ECU and won't detect it in the proxi alignment.

Yes I was aware of that, I should have pointed out that Engine ECU has a reading higher than the dash and the odo on the dash is flashing.
When I ran the Proxi Alignment in MultiEcuScan it was successful on all modules except the instrument cluster. When I tried to connect to the instrument cluster from the main menu it could not detect it.
Does this mean that there could be a fault with the dash itself? It seems to work but is flashing, ECU is showing 94k kms, dash is flashing with 33k kms.
