2001 147 key problem
I have a 2001 147 with the filp type remote ignition key.
The problem is with the the pin which connects the remote fob to a keyring, is starting to slip out the body of the remote fob on a regular basis.
Im aware that the deisgn of this is supposed to allow the quick removal of the key/remote from a keyring, but as the hole where where the pin locates becomes worn (and larger) the pin does not lock as well into position.
Ive been lucky so far but one of these times Im either gonna loose remote fob or the other keys attached.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found any solutions
I was considering drilling a hole through the fob, near to the existing pin location hole and hard fitting a ring through the fob. Of course my concern is the electoinics within the fob. Im not able to determine the extents of the circuit board within the fob housing - so Im also unable to be sure that any hole I drill is clear of any curcuits.
Any help would be appreciated
