ebay alfa 156 1.9jtd air con delete help

hello i have a 2004 alfa 156 1.9jtd and the aircon doesnt work i have a new shorter belt and just wonder when i remove the compressor and everthing will i have to block off anthing or have to change anthing i took out the ac relay before and the car doesnt start i want the full system completly removed any help appricated thanks in advance

Sounds like you took out the fuel injection relay, its the same type of relay as the A/C. You can't trust the diagram on the relay cover as the relay bases unclip from the battery tray and can be put back in different positions.

You can just use a shorter belt, I've used 6pk1038 before on a 1.9 jtd 16v, this also eliminates the idler pulley.

Before you start removing any of the system you need to get the gas vacuumed. After that you can start removing the compressor, pipes & radiator.

Why do you want to remove it all? To save a bit of weight?
