156 jtd clutch problem

I have a problem with the clutch on a 1.9 jtd 16v

I was stuck in a traffic jam two weeks ago for about an hour, next day I noticed the clutch pedal seemed very light.

I have checked both master and slave cylinder and they are not leaking and fluid level is still on max line

All was ok until yesterday when I had some clutch slip

Can the master/slave cylinder fail internally without leaking and cause this or do I just need a new clutch,

Any advice much appreciated

Slipping clutch most likely means a new clutch. Slave cylinder failure can give you a light clutch pedal feel but will do the opposite, i.e. wouldn't release the clutch and you can't put the car in gear when engine is running (I had them recently, both slipping clutch and failed slave cylinder).
