Guide to save diagrams from alfa elearn & print large copies

I wanted to print a wiring diagram larger than elearn does, so after some fiddling I've come up with this which should make the diagram fill the page;

1) Right click the diagram in elearn and click 'Copy SVG'

2) Paste in notepad

3) Scroll to the top, approximately 15 lines from the top there should be a line with just ]> replace it with the following;

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head>
<style type="text/css">
body
svg {
display:border:0px; position:fixed;
top:0; left:0; height:100%; width:100%
}
</style>
</head><body>

4) Save with any name you like with .html at the end,
'save as type' all files *.*
set 'encoding' to 'unicode'
then save

5) Open the file and print from your web browser, set landscape or portrait as appropriate

It's been 10 years since I did this sort of stuff in college but google was on hand to get me past each hurdle

I absolutely thank you for this. Previously I'd been scaling them up to the max on the printer setup - this was not even close for clarity and usefulness.

Using Notepad++ to edit and save the files, this program I originally downloaded for rooting purposes. It defaults to Unicode, but I am manually selecting the .html extension each time.

you can also just use the "snipping tool" in Windows, available since Vista

example:

I'm still on W7 and the snipping tool cannot scale an image in the way of the method originally posted above. There's a huge difference in clarity. Have resized and saved as HTML pages, about 60% of the 2.0TS 147 schematics now.

Yes it can, You can save (default) as vector graphics (.png), which are fully scaleable....
(and available in Win 7)

but everyone should obviously use what they prefer/ find most easy
