Suggests to me a case of cognitive dissonance.

It's always better when you explain how arrive at your opinions.
I think I was trying to express my disbelief that in the milliseconds prior to an accident anyone would be thankful they where in a 147.

Judging by the fact most of the front of my 147 was made from rust I'm surprised it held the engine in it for so long.
I It wouldn't hold up to much of a front end bump. Have to rely on the block to save me... Or kill me ;-)

It never faired well in Ncap. But no one wants to crash.

I said my piece on the 147 as a new drivers car. I am just saying there are better almost as fun options. If you really want one then go for it. No one buys with their head to a degree. But go in open eyes. I'd prefer to learn in something more simple.

Mine was a fiat punto 1.2 8v. 60 hp that I tuned up to about 85hp. But it still clouldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding. But the mechanicals were simple and engine so robust and easy to work on it gave me a good understanding.

Then going to a 16v petrol alfa the progression felt comfortable.

Regards
Scott
