Another day another new noise...

Hi All,

My beloved Alfa has found another problem for me to investigate

Right, when I turn the engine off there is now a 'pop' from the engine bay once the engine is off.

Any ideas? will open the bonnet and have a closer listen when I have a drive next but thought I'd ask

Andy.

Immediately on engine off, or a few seconds after?

There's always a bit of a hiss/click as the vacuum solenoid releases... Few seconds after key-off normally.

Around a second or so - sounds like that could be it

Bonnet up, start engine, wind down the drivers window, reach in through the window and key-off, quick-dash round to watch the turbo VNT actuator.. Should hear a noise as the same time that the actuator falls back to low boost position (about 10mm movement)...

If your noise occurs at this time, that narrows it down significantly
