Airbag light

Hi guys I've got a tempremental airbag warning light on my dash. Most days the red light is on then occasionally it'll just go off by itself. I've had the fault reset by a local garage. The light states off for a few weeks then it came back again. Luckily it didn't cost me anything. Any ideas what it could be?

Check the connections under the front seats for the seat airbags and the pretensioners.

A friend of mine had this exact issue the other day on his 156.

For a permanent fix you could try soldering and heatshrinking the wires together, but a cable tie around the connector seems to help in most cases.

You might get lucky by unplugging them and then plugging them back in. With the ignition off of course.

Quick update on the situation. Pulled the plugs apart cleaned them with some air to get the dust out, plugged them back together and cable tied them up. Worked wonders however yesterday the light came back on so undid the cable ties from the drives side to find that one of the wires had come loose. Quite difficult to find. Cut the wires and re connected them via a new connector. All working as it should once again

Small cable tie to hold the yellow plugs tight and stop hoovering too enthusiastically under the seats. There's another one comes loose in the boot on the fuel filler side. Give it the same treatment.
