2.4 fuel quantity

Anybody got an idea as to what max fuel quantity a 2.4 10v should have ? I'm getting a max figure of 54 mgi from multiecuscan, which I am certain is too low.

Probably a bit late, but I'm asking similar questions for the 20 valve (in engines), so far without response so I've tried to compare your and my figures...

Assuming yours is the 150 HP version then it's maximum torque is 225 ft-lb. Mine is 285, so scaling:

54 * 285/225 = 68.4, which is pretty close to the 69 mm^3/i that I am recording. So they might both be right; or wrong by the same amount, which is a bit less likely. (But I am assuming you are quoting mes data: mm^3/i?)

Did you ever find a true figure for your engine?

No,I never did get a correct figure. Have since recorded 56 thought thats because its overboosting. Recorded on mes.

I've been trawling through 'tuning', plenty of talk of iq there, but so far nothing for standard engines....

The over-boost iq figure you have is interesting. I've just tried mine with the boost solenoid bypassed. Despite getting 3000 mB boost and 1380 mg/i air I still only got 69 mm^3/i fuel. Assuming that is the overall torque limit operating it looks like my engine is working as intended. From the feel of it with the EGR blanked I think the valve leaking was probably the problem, though I have also used EGR/MAF cleaner, and injector cleaner.

Thanks for the over-boost idea. R.T.
