Re: Q2 and Blackline Q2
I've had mine for 4, nearly 5 months now and think I can honestly say it has been the best car I've owned. It's certainly the most fun to drive, especially on fast A and B roads with sweeping bends. It feels completely secure and one is very tempted to explore the limits with it. It is choppy on poorly surfaced roads.
The engine is super smooth for a diesel and revs very easily. Ignore the traffic light grand prix, drive it as a grand tourer and you will very quickly find yourself approaching very high speeds. I bought a Steinbauer P-box very soon after buying the car but have yet to fit it so satisfied have I been with it's performance in standard tune.
In my car the build quality has been exemplary. The quality of the dash mouldings excellent and as others have said the seats are first class. Despite the use of some 'cheaper' plastics around the leading corner of the front windows where the side mirrors mount, the feeling is still one of very high quality.
I have yet to suffer from any of the creaks, squeaks etc. that others have noted. I do wonder if Alfa have upped there game with the 159/Brera and this is also feeding through to the more recent GT production. The Bose sound system is more than adequate for my requirements.
My previous cars were an Audi A6 and Audi A2. Both were impeccably engineered and in ciomparison my Q2 hasn't disappointed either.
Finally, when someone walks across the car park to tell you that your car looks stunning and ask you all about it, as has happened several times to me, you know you've made the right decision.
