147 Stalling issues
Now I have searched the forum and found posts that relateish to the problems I'm getting with my 147 but nothing exactly the same. It's a 2001 147 2.0 Selespeed.
Ok so here goes, firstly I live on Guernsey and the Alfa dealer here is not a big fan of working on them.
I bought the car off a friend of a friend as it had a gearbox problem. Turned out to be a collapsed clutch release bearing (36,000 miles only on car). Anywho replaced the clutch and it works ok except for...when I start the car, from cold mainly, select gear (1 or R) and accelerate off it stalls, it will do this several times and then its fine.
I can hear the pump buzzing so that's all good (that said could someone tell me where it and the relay lives on the car) There is sufficient Oil in the Selespeed Res
When it stalls it tells me that it's a Selespeed system failure but I've learnt from this forum that that means nowt. Could be an engine issue . Where does the Crank Position Sensor live?
Hope you guys can help
The battery could be the original one I don't really know.
