Alfa GT JTD Help

I have recently bought a beautiful 2007 Alfa GT JTD which was in need of some TLC.

What I thought was a clutch master cylinder replacement has turned out to be a whole clutch replacement.

I have read through hours worth of searches but still can't find a good write up on the removal and replacement process.

I read that it was possible to complete the replacement without dropping the subframe and just wondered if anyone could help with direction to a write-up or direction to a download of elearn.

Thanks in advance.

It is possible without dropping the subframe, but if your doing it on the driveway etc then it is a complete PITA, and personally I dont think removing the subframe is much of an issue, although some may disagree, but I would just take the opportunity to renew the ARB bushes etc while it is out.

If your decent with the spanners then the removal of the box is pretty straight forward, refitting can be a pain, plenty of threads about this, and make sure the release bearing is fitted correctly, and check it engages before you finish everything then find it wont work.

Sorry cannot help with the Elearn link, but the old 156 forum used to have a good write up on the removal and refitting of the box if you Google you should find it.

if you have a torrent client on your pc then you could try this link:

https://pirateproxy.red/torrent/5011..._GT_eLEARN.rar

I have the 156 elearn and the process should be roughly the same so if the link doesn't work i can see if i can copy the 156 one and send it too you.

You dont need to remove the subframe but it can make refitting a bit tricky as part of the subframe can obstruct the gearbox as you try and line it up, not impossible but easier with 2 people

Tried the download but no joy unfortunately...

If you could try sending it over it would be massively appreciated.

Many thanks and cheers for the advice,
