Re: Jerky 156
I am having some funny problems as well, and I wonder whether this might cure it - I am getting what I think is bad fuel economy for a ts (though my first one so Im not sure), doesnt feel as fast as it should be, and when I press the throttle partly - as in very small bit to hold the speed, the tachometre jumps around, usually drops down to 0 for a second then jumps up somewhere near the actual rev. If I let go of throttle, or press the throttle harder, it usually gets to the correct rev.
Also, mostly in second gear, but sometimes in others, when I accelerate fairly hard, the handbrake light flashes / switches on! I thought this was bad earth somewhere or problem with the clocks, but I wonder if it could be something to do with the rev sensor?
Where is the rev sensor located?
And do the 2.0 TS engines have a TPS?
Also I should mention - one of my HT leads is sort of damaged. It is only the rubber around it damaged, the actual cable looks fine, but I know it could be damaged, so will replace. But this is only the littlespark plug one, not the main ones, so would have thought they are not as important?
I have got a full set of big ht leads spare, I might swap them over to see if that helps too
