Urgent help needed

Alfa 147 1.9 JTD 16V 2003
I'm trying to change the air filter , but for the love of God i simply can't do it. Please , some guidelines would be nice, I've already tried to open it from beneath and it's not a gap big enough.
Pics of my process so far:

Your post hasn't parsed the links.

Can you see and release all the clips between the box halves?

From below is the way to go

The small section (on the left if you're looking towards the front of the car) can be hinged away a fair bit - takes a bit of welly so don't be afraid.. The larger section on the right can be lifted up so the locating pin comes out of the rubber bush on the radiator support bar - that should release it so there's enough room to just about wiggle the old one out and slip the new one back in...

Alternatively, just bend the radiator support bar down and out of the way... and then back again...

Absolute pig of a job for a simple air filter!

I'm guessing i have to put the fuse and battery back in place? Then remove the small part from the air box , push up until the rubber holder on the support bar becomes loose which will gove me enough to put the new filter in?

Pretty much how I do it... Never touch the battery/fuse-box, but I do undo the air intake snorkle so there's a bit more room for movement.
