147 NSF Mystery Wiring Connectors

Hi, I'm seeking advice on what the intended application of these two plugs (sockets?) was.

They're both on the main engine compartment harness, located off the "branch" which includes the NSF blinker repeater, brake pad wear indicator, washer jet heating wires. Three adjacent connectors of each are populated. One looks right to carry decent current, the other much less.

Both are grubby as though never connected. Could it be alarm, and under bonnet key switch for same? Or would one be for countries where the indicator housings were split for additional lighting?

Wondering about repurposing the heavier gauge one to power a Stebel Nautilus...

Thanks, Adam.
