Went to Costco tonight and they had a pretty good buy on Mobil 1 oil @25.00-ish inc VAT. Being 0W-40 how does this fare in our engines with regard to consumption rate? used this stuff once in my old Primera GT and it was great .. .Also great buy on Slick 50 (which I have used before with superb results) and would like your thoughts.
Also - any recommendations with regards to plugs or are the standard NGK platinums as good as you can get? Was thinking BOsch Super4's or summat
Thanks inadvance

I'm not a fan of Mobil1 myself. My Thema turbo didn't like it at all.: With the the Alfa, 10/40 summer, 5/40 winter seems to suit.Only used the NGk's myself, not sure if anyone has had experience of the Bosch's as an alternative?:

Mobil 1 0w 40 is the wrong grade for the JTS. I wouldn't use it in mine.

IMO, oil is as important as any of the other engine components and I always use the best I can afford.

steer well clear, you might as well put water in your engine i used to be a motorbike mechanic and triumph used to recomend that oil for their bikes, seems a bit of a coincidence that they were allways blowing up their cranks..... i use motul fully synthetic in my engines car and bike ,bl**dy expensive though
