Rear Light's Re-wire & Fog Light MOT Question

Hi All

A while ago i got some rear lexus lights , I didnt really like them but after some careful tinting i think they will look nice . Like in the pic ive added they have circle lenses Indicator > Brake/Tail > Reversing > Fog .

Im dumping the reversing lights and making them brake lights and the other 2 on each side as tail lights (using multi bulb led's) The question is can i use the rear window brake light as a fog light for the MOT . Ive have a read about and as far as i can tell 1 fog light is enough mounted in the center or the off side. Would this be correct ??

Also would it be legal to fit bright strip led's behind the reflectors in the bumper and use them as fog lights, as not sure if they would be too low. (they will still reflect when lights off)

Any info would be great & sorry for crappy pic drawing has never been my strong point

All spares parts for 156 and 147 being sold that i will not be using (cheap) nothing too small ask what you want , willing to post world wide Phone 07922123242 Ask for Neil and say Mark said to phone .

Re height, the GT has the reverse & fog in the bumper where the reflectors are on a 156.
The 3rd brake light should contain little 2.3W bulbs, make sure they haven't been replaced by the more common 1.2W.

The height of the rear fog light would be covered under the construction and use regulations rather than the MOT rules. A sharp eyed knowledgable Policeman might give you grief about it (as might your insurance company if you have an accident).
Be aware that penalties for construction and use offences are far more severe than for MOT ones.

If I was following you in fog and that upper brake light was permanently on, you may find a brick on your back seat at the next services/traffic lights!

If you were that close behind someone in fog they should have turned their rear fog light off anyway.
