How can you guys get figures like that? 35 mpg is around what I get on my 147 1.9 JTD... Mostly city driving but hey.

I don't believe 68.7 mpg for one minute!

Might be what the computer thinks it's getting, but it ain't what you're paying for at the pump. I know my dash display is usually optimistic by 8-10mpg, but has been more.

Best real-world MPG I've ever had is 55.5mpg over 467 miles, and fuel usage tracked by brim to brim fuel tank fills... Dash was displaying 68.6mpg when I filled up...

These Alfas... They lie...

Even that is ridiculously high and Id love to see figures like that. My compuIer is pessimistic and sIowing 8.7l/100km which is about 33 mpg I think... Im on 17 inch wheels but even before it was maxed out at 7.3l or so. 8.7 is too high.

This is all motorway, normally i get 30.7 on average in GT,depends on how your right foot is.
On way back as soon as your on motorway put it in 6th gear around 75,80 speed,of you go.

Doing a 350mile journey in the GTA sitting at normal motorway speed i used to get 28-31mpg real world. Computer said a few mpg higher. Didn't bother me at all and i did this journey ALOT every 3-5 weeks for a good few years. Mostly stuck it on cruise and stopped when i got there.

Also got a 156 2.4JTD SW and it has been averaging 42mpg real world and closer to 44 on same long run.
Just got it remapped and the mpg is approx 45mpg, but important fact is i can now travel at same speed as GTA, but faster than i did before before remap and getter better economy. Not fair test only done one long journey, but i am sure it will work out cheaper to run.

Also got a 156 1.9JTD 6 speed for my parents in law, so i am keeping an eye on this, but its economy at moment is same a our 2.4JTD. but that is based on urban driving.
