GT heavy steering

Hi. After a long line of the 156 I finally got a gt. Should the steering be much heavier than the 156? Cheers

Well, it depends a bit on the difference in wheels and tyres between the two cars, but that would only make a small difference - it wouldn't make the steering "much heavier".
Most of the suspension and steering components are exactly the same, so the more likely scenario is that you have a power steering problem.

I changed my steering fluid and that seemed to make it lighter.

I would have to disagree and say yes. I love my GT but for slow maneuvering it is very heavy and has the turning circle of a Japanese Supertanker, my 156 was much lighter by comparison.
This is not a criticism, just an honest answer to the OP's question.

Interesting. I have, on the other hand, never found any significant difference between a 156 and GT (with similar engines and tyres) in terms of steering.

Yes, the V6 models of both the 156 and GT with the heavier nose and wider tyres do have slightly heavier steering, but not so much as you'd really notice.

Three- or four-point turns are fun!
