I used to have problems with batteries.It turned out to the motor inside the light that was draining the battery.It remained on thus draining power.Thought i would share with you guys and happy new year.

motor? what motor? do you have xenons with self-levelling? from your avatar photo, i figure so...but looks like a 3-series BMW!

faulty motor sounds weird - wonder how that happened! how did you work it out, and what did you do about it (to stop motor staying on)? curious.

I presume he means the headlamp adjuster motors. They seem to be a common source of woe (I've disabled mine, I got sick of my car being crosseyed!).
AFAIK though they are off when the ignition is off, so they shouldn't have been effecting your battery?
