Is the radio code required if you have an aftermarket radio?

I want to reset my ECU and battery in the hopes of fixing my AC. I have an aftermarket Blaupunkt stereo unit. Will I still need a code and if yes, how can I get it?

If it's one of those universal aftermarket stereo units, then no, you won't need the code.

It's a generic one I believe, but i'll be switch it for this one, because I need an AUX input:
JVC KD-G342
Definitely an universal aftermarket stereo unit by my standards.

Unless you really like playing CDs, you'd probably be better off getting one with Bluetooth. Alpine or Kenwood are better than JVC.

I've choosen this one simply due to price. I'll get it for 20 euros and it's at the limit of what i can afford for music, because all my money are going into other technical problems. It's a new car and while last owner was good at maintaining, he wasn't perfect and I'm after restoring my Alfa to it's glory.
