I'm hoping to be buying a 156 V6 SP3 within the next few months and plan to throw a couple of light performance modifications its way.
Firstly, I want to get an Autodelta Induction Kit to A) Give the car a bit more growl and B) Supposedly add a couple extra horses. (Wish me luck with the latter,
Now, alot of people have said don't bother with the Induction Kit upgrade, and instead replace the intake with that of a GTA 156's instead.
What's the score regarding this???
As the cheaper option is the GTA intake for £15 (Apparently!) as opposed to the £170 Autodelta Kit.
Also, what does this 'GTA Intake' look like? It's not just the air pipe is it? It is the entire kit? I'm slightly confused regarding this to be honest.
Pictures would help also as well as any advice and input on that one.
Next up, I will be wishing to replace the stock exhaust for something, once again, with a tad more grunt and to hopefully throw down yet another few horses. Am I best off going to a specialist exhaust place such as Longlife? Or is it best to buy one designed specifically for my car from Piper / Mongoose etc? I'm mainly after power increase with this.
Lastly; Tyres. I'll more than likely be keeping whatever Teledials the SP3 of that year came with, and wanted advice on the best rubber to get? I think the 16" Tele's came with 205/16/50 or a similar variant, and the 17"'s had something similar too.
I'm thinking either Pirelli P6000's or a set of Dunlops. My mate has some on his Golf GTi and it handles like it's stuck on rails. But then it is a GTi and not a 4 door saloon,
I have had a bad expierience with Eagle F1's so won't be touching those again.
Yeah, so any help and advice is as always appreciated!
