Cruise Control Problem!!!
Hi there guys...
I know you've all probably heard this but please bare with me
I had a problem with my 02 147.
the retaining pin that holds the clutch piston onto the clutch pedal snapped and therefore i lost the clutch. one AA call out and replacement of the pin fixed this problem.
but the odd thing is that the cruise control stopped working after this little issue had been fixed
so i was wondering... is there a right and wrong way to reconnect the clutch pedal to the piston top? it seemed so simple (and i was so relieved that it was) that i did not stop to check.
at the moment, the switch is not being made and broken when the clutch pedal moves up and down. so as far as the computer is concerned, the clutch is down the whole time so the cruise control won't come on.
there is a simple work around for this, but as it involves unplugging something i'm not so sure it is a good idea.
