Re: Life with a 156
The key colour is down to the year of manufacture not model.

it means you have a mk1, so it must be a standard TS or a TS Lusso, and it could have any of the sport packs fitted.
it means it can not be a turismo or veloce or later lusso.

not the year, more specifically it is the mark that dictates key colour. all mk1 have red keys, all mk2 have black keys, therefore key colour confirms if he has a veloce or a lusso with sport pack.

Nah, mines a V6 and they don't do a TS V6. I think with everything mine has (such as white dials, headlamp washers etc) it is an early model Lusso.
However, I have no clue as to whether or not it has had any sports packs fitted, the ride quality is fantastic and feels quite stiff so maybe it has uprated sports suspension. But no clue really.

Then again, if this statement IS true, mine must be an SP3 as mine has red leather MOMO stamped seats w/ AR Logo.
Does this mean mine IS an SP3???
lol, This is ALL very confusing...

Re: Life with a 156
i'm not sure about the leather options relating to sport packs. i have red momo leather but no way of knowing if that was part of pack 1, 2 or 3.
you are correct the v6 did not come as a TS base model, the base model was called V6 instead of TS (for obvious reasons). if you bought a V6 Lusso you got velour trim, wooden steering wheel & climate control same as on the 1.8 and 2.0.

I'm going to run the risk of being known for chucking spanners in the works here...
My mate has a late model mk1 and he has black keys. (Sorry )

Re: Life with a 156
Meaning then, that mine cannot be a Lusso as mine comes with Red MOMO stamped leather seats.
However, mine comes with white dials, washer jets for the headlamps, CD changer etc, indicating it not to be a standard 156.
OR, did all the early model V6s come with these as standard???
Wow, my brain is fried after today, lol

Perhaps we need to get this put up as a separate thread to attract an expert on the case?

The leather option is exactly that an option the sports pack is a suspension option commonly refered to sp1 sp2 and sp3 depending a seat type.Hope that helps

trust me it must be a mk2 if it has a black key, what you mean is it is a prefacelift mk2, so it is registered between 2000-2002.

Re: Life with a 156
Yeah, after some research Jug is spot on.
Black key does automatically make it a Mk2.

Re: Life with a 156
Took the family to Chester Zoo yesterday, Averaged 45 ish to the gallon, got her upto 106, brakes woefully inadequate at that speed, wobbles like a t1t on a trampoline around the corners, but very smooth and quiet.............
Beth's Picasso of course, not the 156
